About The Event
We're so excited to announce this special all-layer celebrating the 65th anniversary of the greatest black music label in history.
From start to finish we'll be presenting a full spectrum of eminently danceable Motown records, from the very early days right through to the early 70s.
And we are also excited to announce a live performance by the fabulous DREAMETTES, who will bring the Motown girl group experience back to life in front of your very eyes!
You'll hear the very best of Motown on original vinyl - early movers, the No1s, album tracks, classic dancers, Ric-Tic and Golden World tunes, duets, group sound, requests - you name it, we'll play it.
There'll be a raffle, featuring prizes brought direct from Detroit, Merchandise and records for sale.
Kirk Hallam Social Club is just a few minutes from J25 of the M1. The beech wooden dance floor is sublime, and huge! Sound system is crystal clear and there's a great chill out room to the side.
2.00pm till 12 midnight
£20.00 tickets in advance.
You'll be guaranteed a warm welcome from Alison and Harriet and the Byron team, and a day and evening of dancing and listening to just the greatest Tamla, Gordy, Soul, VIP, MoWest and TMG sounds, all on original vinyl.
The venue has a large car park, so no problems if you're travelling. Come and join us for a day to remember - we'd love to see you.
