Oh - that's not a proper clue... was she on wheelsville ?

Don't think so, can't find her on any listings I have!

Want another clue?

Nope

Second clue

No Levi's

or Lonette Mckee?

LOL dave ;-)

Lonette Mckee - yes, well done, she sang a record called Blue Jeans :-) your turn

Cheers Janine. I LIKE this game. This one has to be a quickie though as I'm of to the dentists in 20 mins. If no one gets it before then I'll tell all and throw it open>

Tooley.

Here goes:

Oh yeah, a clue.

Sounds like they liked a drink :o)

Bob on Dave.

Didn't even get to post the clue about their dad sounding like a Short Order Chef!

Off to the House of Pain now. Over to you mate.

Okey dokey........No clues to start with. Might be a bit harder this one because it's not a publicity shot, it's a photo I took.

There again, if you think though all the live acts I might have seen over the last ten years you might get it through a process of elimination.

Sam Dees ???

I think Kolla's right - Sam Dees. It certainly looks a lot like him

But talking of Marv Johnson and Yarmouth, here's one of him.

How do I make them smaller, I assume Kolla or mike reduced the one of.......?

Yep - I am reducing the picture sizes for ya. You're putting them up at a res of 1200dpi. Screen res should be 72dpi ):

My second guess is Lou Courtney.

Nooooooooo - I don't want a photo ... I WANT a good CLUE.

Is it Terry Callier??

John

Ok, clues: Detroit, lead singer of a group. The group he is in is related (family wise) to the Detroit Emeralds in some way.

I didn't see Terry Callier when he was over, so it's not him.

"Sweet" James Epps of The Fantastic Four

Right file might be a bit large not certain how to alter it, so apologies.

But who is this

post-1-1083095020_thumb.jpg

Ritchie - it is! You beat me to it by ooh, a day!! Anyway...according to the picture caption it's "Pastor Patrinell Staten Wright - 1969"

Cheers Brett for pulling that one out the hat - hardest one yet.

Guess it's your turn now, Ritchie.

Yeah it's Patrinelle Staten, sorry i didn't get back earlier, never had a chance to give a clue. ( which would have been.....small romantic liason.........

Hello everybody I'm sorry but I cant find the image that I wanted to post. Can somebdy else post one up for me please. Sorry for the delay but I'm up to my armpits in other things (work) as well. Thanks........ Ritchie.

Mr Leo Sayer. Ha ha ... Jodie - stop blaspheming on this site! :) )

ok - here are two lovely ladies for you.

Number one:

Number two:

besse.jpg

The first one is Troy Dodds.

Brenda Holloway ?

Big mama Thornton ?

not very good at this game.........can we play something else if I bring a ball ?

No 1 looks like Bill Cosby's wife!

No 2 is Bessie - but I'm not sure which one

troy &£$*%!!

Right - the first lady was born in New York City in 1945.

She's best known for her 1966 unissued uptempo dancer which was put to vinyl exactly twenty years after she recorded it.

The second lady hails from the Jackson, Tennesee. She died in 1972, aged just 48. This picture was taken in 1953 - she's singing with Rufus Thomas... and no, she's not a Besse (i promise!).

Well she can 'try my love' anytime !

wah wah wah!!!

Thought I wasnt going to get to use my punchline.

OK OK I HAVE MY COAT!!

Corrrrrect Jodie!

Now I know you know the second lady. I'm sure she's in your collection some where.

Big Maybelle!

hey hey! It most certainly is Big Maybelle.

Over to you, Chalky

That face is very familiar. Someone who had a long career and hits in 70s/80s, right?

It looks a little bit like Chuck Jackson but i'm sure it's not

Give us a clue!

Nope not Chuck J.

Born March 27, 1937, in Haynesville, LA, about 15 miles south of Magnolia, AR (formerly Texarkana, a hotbed of blues activity in the 1920s and '30s). Was a boxer too.

He began recording in the 50's and was still recording in the 90's.
