By popular demand (well, about three people anyway) here's another Sunday picture quiz. Just a bit of fun so feel free to join in - no shame in having a punt.

As usual our mystery person is a non-soul related artist who has had at least one tune played on the Northern Soul scene. I'll take questions to which I can answer 'yes' or 'no' - and will provide extra clues if we're really struggling.

To be honest, something makes me think we might have had this one before. You know what it's like when your memory starts going...

If that's the case it'll be a quick one. However I have another one prepared that's gonna be a real toughie!

Who's the lady?

Hurry up

trying to watch MOTD2

Right. Her Northern tune as I've already said is on a label with loads of Northern stuff. At least two of the guesses so far are on the label. I can tell you where the label is from

I think, unlike some of our previous quizes, It may not be immediately obvious that she's white. I'm sure I hadn't sussed it at Wigan, although with retrospect you can tell easily.

So it ain't Sue Thompson, she was on Hickory alongside Barbara Mills whistling.gif

Sorry Suz - getting hard to keep up due to amount of guesses vs drinks consumed. Much bigger Wigan tune. Bloody monster in 70s.

was her big hit bootlegged or legal reissue?

Do you mean her US hit or the big Northern tune? I think the hit got a reissue or two including one on Startdust.

Her Northern tune was definitely booted though. And there are a couple of label comps on CD and I'm sure they are boots too.
