November 15, 200915 yr Don't be so precious! If I'm steamed up at a wedding and there's some bunch of geezers hammering out 6os soul covers, I'd rather hear that and shake an embarrassing tail feather than the bloody birdy song or Celine Deon on disc or CD! November 15, 200915 yr There was a venue in the 80s where this happened, there was a young white band on, lots of members, doing northern soul covers with everyone dancing. I remember being on a balcony watching. Not sure if it was Bradford or somewhere like that. It was a one-off but it seemed to go down quite well. Anyone able to jog my memory?

November 15, 200915 yr Snake Davis and his band are fantastic. Saw them at King Georges Hall Blackburn but still couldn't bring myself to dance. Have just been used to watching bands and to be honest; deep down would feel awkward getting up.

November 17, 200915 yr I dont enjoy live bands at all There are some good musicians & good singers out there, but i just get really bored! When i was on the Mod scene, they would have a band on for about an hour, & i used to think, please hurry up & get the records back on Last year i used to go & see my partner Ian playing drums in his band & it was ok, but not really my sort of thing, they did the Snake But i found that i was surrounded by alot of folk that had one too many drinks, who push into you & would really dance to anything! I just think a covers band would be a nightmare evening for me! Debbie x Edited November 17, 200915 yr by parkash
