I keep getting asked to put more live tapes up so here's an absolute belter from the Casino's 7th anniversary on 25th September 1980. This tape is in fantastic quality but it also allows you to hear the atmosphere which is the whole point of these live recordings. The quality dips as it nears the end but please enjoy a tremendous Richard Searling spot, a Keith Minshull oldies spot and a short excerpt from Gary Rushbrooke's spot.

Pete, just downloaded this, it was one of the four ann's I went to. (1st, 2nd, 6th & 7th)

Anyway I was in bed feeling a little sorry for myself (bad stomach and headache), next thing you know Dickie played The Nomads and I'm dancing around the bedroom.

Wife comes in and says "I thought you where dieing":lol:

Any chance of a tracklisting, anyone? Would save time playing through the whole podcast if I want to pick out a certain track.

Benji I have 2 or 3 tapes taken from the mixing desk at Wigan, or rather plugged into the decks, the quality is 10 out of 10 but apart from the dj intros, we might as well be listening to the records at home, thats why I've never put them up anywhere. I like to hear the clapping!

THE LAST NIGHT AT WIGAN CASINO - END OF AN ERA - 19th SEPTEMBER 1981 *****

Well this is the last live allnighter tape I'm going to put up for a while but believe me this is a listening experience that you'll never forget. Totally different to the fantastic quality tape I put up of the 7th Anniversary, this one is notable for picking up every last bit of the incredible atmosphere of that final allnighter (of course, they opened the doors again for another 'last' allnighter a month later, but this is the real thing). I hadn't listened to this tape for over a decade and I'm not ashamed to say that it reduced me to tears, hearing I'm On My Way for the very last time. I did go to this allnighter but it's not my recording. Anyway, please don't expect crystal clear quality, but do expect to be put through an emotional wringer. *****

I am trying to find out what this great Richard Searling tune was uncovered as CHRIS BARTLEY (c/u out OF MY MIND) think it may of been un-released. heard it many times also at The Clifton Hall.
