Well this is the last live allnighter tape I'm going to put up for a while but believe me this is a listening experience that you'll never forget. Totally different to the fantastic quality tape I put up of the 7th Anniversary, this one is notable for picking up every last bit of the incredible atmosphere of that final allnighter (of course, they opened the doors again for another 'last' allnighter a month later, but this is the real thing). I hadn't listened to this tape for over a decade and I'm not ashamed to say that it reduced me to tears, hearing I'm On My Way for the very last time. I did go to this allnighter but it's not my recording. Anyway, please don't expect crystal clear quality, but do expect to be put through an emotional wringer. *****

Kinnell I didn't say it was the last hour, RUSS's spot is from the last hour, Brian Rae & Dave Evisons were from before that but I think Dave Evison was on just before Russ

Great memories..i too was there this nite, pretty sure there was a total power failure also about 3am that lasted about 6/7 minutes but it seemed a lifetime( i was walking round the balcony at the time and trod on someones head lol,... We had paid a fiver for the advanced ticket only to find that later on theyed started letting people in on the door for a quid, but all in all it was a sure "Cracking Nite! "

the last hour of the Farewell oldies,....end of an era and the VERY last nite are all very similar spots......

the end of an era martyn ellis is before russ and says 2 more records from me and russ will be with you ,.,answered by a chorus of boooooooos.....russ puts 'tainted love' on and all is forgotten,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
