Here's a few to kick in with from the Liberty series...and I note that the Huggys Ork disc is down in many discographies as by The Mirettes...does that exist as well?

Great label. Used to collect Minit 32000 series in the mid-late 70s. From memory I think I got to within 4 of completing the label before I sold up. can't remember now what my missing numbers were. I know Shawn Robinson was one of 'em, could have had it just didn't want to pay out for it at the time. Back then most of the stuff on the label was dirt cheap and under a quid. Great records like Vernon Garrett "Look At Me, Look at Me, Players "Why Did I Lie" and Themes "Bent Out Of Shape" hardly anyone wanted 'em at the time.

I remember writing to Record Corner, Balham asking what Minit they had in stock and I got a letter back with about 20 numbers they had and most were 50p each.

Unfortunately in my younger "Northern" days i didn't appreciate the slower stuff like I do now although even then I had, and still do have, a soft spot for Jimmy Holiday.

Only trouble with the label as far as I was concerned was that there were, and still are so many of the red demos about that I often had one of each as I could never decide whether to keep the demo or the black issues.

Been a big fan of Gene Taylor - You Got My Nose Wide Open/Don't Go Away for a long time. One side a masterpiece of deep soul the other a magic piece of crossover, with Mr Womack at the helm, you can't go wrong can you?

The Hitson is an interesting one with some issues credited to Herman and some to Hermon.

"Yes You Did" is the obvious Northern track but the flipside kicks the shit out of it IMO.

Could it be that all copies are Huggy's Ork on one side and Mirettes the other ?

I found the ebay auction and it's one artist on each side as you note. that must be it, there is probably only one press.

Ah, didn't see that Bob. On the label it states Produced by Dick Hugg who was a white Los Angeles radio DJ playing mainly R&B aimed mainly at the Chicano population. His show was something like the Huggy Boy Show and he also hosted a dance show on local TV.

Weren't the Mirettes on the West Coast at around this period with Mirwood. I suspect this is the same track actually by the Mirettes and perhaps with West Coast pressings given the Huggy Boy promotion for West Coast sales outlets.

I put up a soundfile of the Huggy's Ork recording in Refosoul...could well be the Mirettes...great NS dance track with sax break and funky bassline, by the way!

Some of my favorites on the label:

Players - "He'll be back" (chitown, lead singer Herb Butler told me that Calvin Carter was working A&R for Minit at the time and got them on the label)

Pacesetters - "What about me baby" (killer bay area sweet soul)

Turnarounds - "I need your loving" (awesome sweet cut from LA)

Younghearts - "I got love for my baby" and "sweet soul shaking" (more LA)

Love the flip...quality hard-hitting Northern...'I Can't Take It No More'.

How strange I collected the label as well. Think I got em all in the end and I cannot remember there being any super rarities. I think I even did an article in one of the soul mags going through all the releases and reviewing them back in the 90s but don't know where it is right now or what the mag was. The label is brimming with great tunes.
