'That's Jazz' press. Sleeve says this track attains the celestial state of suspended animation in the Mixolydian Mode!! Never heard Herbie so full of soul & intensity. Various - This is Latin Jazz Volume 1 (BGP) - Press : UK Condition record : VG+ / Cover : VG (spilt seam, sticker, general wear) Price : 5.00 Superb Comp. from amazingly 22 years ago, Messrs Gilles Peterson and Baz Fe Jazz compiled so you know it's quality, Kenny Burrell, Johnny Lytle, Billy Taylor Trio, Pucho etc -- Yes this IS Latin Jazz. Just a little bit scruffy all round but play wise very acceptable. Thelonious Monk Quintet - Same (Riverside) - Press : UK Condition record : EX / Cover : EX- Price : 9.00 A rather marvelous Monk LP with classic line up, Charlie Rouse..etc Recorded 1959, Straight No Chaser, I Mean You etc. 673 024 Stereo. 1cm spine wear. BST 84222 couple of light line marks from sleeve, cover like new. Jackie McLean - It's Time (Blue Note) - Press : USA Condition record : EX+ / Cover : M- Just Sold 43 West NY Original with 'ear' and VG stamps ST-84179. Wow, again in just superb condition, with a line up like Charles Tolliver, Herbie Hancock, Cecil McBee and Roy Haynes, well....you know the deal, superb session, Revillot, 'Snuff, Das' Dat, Cencellation etc - don't miss these, they'd got for more on ebay this clean for sure. Oliver Nelson - Blues & The Abstract Truth (HMV) - Press : UK Condition record : VG / Cover : VG- Price : 30.00 Until this walked into the Sticky HQ, we never knew it got a UK HMV MONO heavyweight press, just gotta be so rare, Sleeve is all in tact, it's just scruffy and has overall general wear and lost all it's original sheen, bit of dog earing but no splits, vinyl has a fair few light marks and general wear but nothing that bad. CLP 1528. Gladys Knight & The Pips - Neither One of Us (Tamla Motown) - Press : UK Condition record : EX- / Cover : VG+ Price : 5.00 A very decent cheapo LP and incs: that real great funk version of "Who is She" Pretty Heavy Stuff from GK. Large circular sticker residue on front. Jack Duff Band feat Bobby Breen - If the Cap Fits (York) - Press : UK Condition record : EX / Cover : EX Price :18.00 Very obscure / unknownish 1972 UK Jazz LP with two real cool cuts : modal "Three Ober Four" & vocal dancer "Tho Swell" lovely condition, autographed by Jack too. Oliver Nelson - Sound Pieces (Impulse) - Press : USA Condition record : EX / Cover : EX Price : 30.00 Impulse Magic from the Master - Incs: Patterns (wow) ... A rare 1966 Gatefold Orange Label Original A-9129, a very acceptable collectors copy, gatefold is clean and solid, tiny bit of price sticker residue that can be cleaned - calling you modal boys... James Brown - In The jungle Groove (Polydor) - Press : UK Condition record : VG / Cover : VG- Price : 7.00 This & The Payback are JB's two heaviest Funk LPs, this blew up BIG when originally released in the late 80s, when you've got previously unreleased cuts like 'I Got to Move' 'Get up Get into..' full length plus many more you then you've got a bomb right here. Scruffy sleeve with taped edges and a sticker, played many times so price reduced, but just fine for a listen / DJ with. James Brown - The PAYBACK (Polydor) - Press : USA Condition record : VG++ / Cover : EX- Price :30.00 What an LP, no introduction needed, the best of 70s Funk. Double Gatefold NY original, few marks (lines), but probably quite seldom played. Payback, Stone to.....+ Fela Kuti - Original Sufferhead (Arista Promo) - Press : EU Condition record : M- / Cover : M- Price :20.00 1981 Close to perfect vinyl & cover, initials on label but very likely played less than 5 times. A Fela Anikulapo-Kuti claasic. Promo Copy too. Patrice Rushen - Before The Dawn (Prestige) - Press : USA Condition record : (see below) / Cover : EX Price : 3.00 Vinyl would be EX if it wasn't for a warp (wanna try fixing this?) 1975 PR10098 - you still get the fusion flyer 'Jubilation' & 2 others, you just lose the first track on each side - could try fixing or weighting the tone arm - but it's a considerable warp I suppose. Green label. Herbie Mann - Returns To The Village Gate (Atlantic) - Press : USA 1966 Condition record : M- / Cover : M- Price :18.00 More or less perfect copy, orange & green Atlantic, orig inner maybe unplayed, of couse incs: 'New York is a Jungle Festival' an old Jazz Dance Anthem. BIG. Various - Cool & Intimate (Small Group Jazz) (Theme) - Press : UK Condition record : EX / Cover : Plain Cover with notes. Price 60.00 Super obscure UK Library Jazz 10" from 1968. Sleeve has trackisting in biro and a sales stamp from "Halepi Patisserie" London N4! Van Phillips composed compositions and it's a relaxed but quality UK Jazz Session, may sell for more if I try in ebay as it's not listed anywhere. Clean vinyl. Incs: jazz Dance MONSTER 'Mother of The Fure"' and the heavy funk of 'Chuka' - Top LP. Original. Various - RARE 2 : 70s Soul & Rave-Ival Classics (RCA) - Press : UK Condition record : VG+ / Cover : VG++ Price : 7.00 Long deleted Vol 2 in this great seriesm on the late 70s early 80s thing. Lovely heavy pressing in stunning condition. 1971. Gerry Mulligan - Midnight Session (Fontana) - Press : Holland Condition record : VG+ / Cover : VG+ Price : 20.00 Great playing copy, has light surface marks but not too bad at all, plays EX. Black Fontana. Chet Baker, Lee Konitz etc. Few lights marks on otherwise clean cover. Ella Fitzgerald - Ella at Dukes Place (Verve) - Press : UK Condition record : EX+ / Cover : EX- Price : 9.00 Incs: the amazing drifty 'Azure' - such a lovely tune. Nice heavy black label original UK press. Various - Cuba 100 years of Rhythm & Rum (Areito / DOUBLE) - Press : USA Condition record : EX- / Cover : VG Price : 15.00 Issued 1978 to promote Cuban music history, rare gatefold LP that incs: lots of Cuba's greatest plus the top tune "Conjunto Instrumental Los Irakere" - 'Juana 1600' Lovely Gatefold that includes Rum Cocktail Recipes - Yes.
