Starting icy and locally foggy. Snow easing and clearing southeastern Britain during the morning, with eastern UK then dry. Rain soon spreading into western parts however, coupled with hill snow.

and so pleased we did, I have been told 6 inches of snow there now

Heavy snow here so didn't make Derby, must be 4 or 5 inches and still snowing hard. Don't like letting anyone down but would be mad to go out in this.

Well in my bit of Derbyshire its 5 to 7'' deep in snow,I'm not that far from Bretby
