I just won a copy of al kent "way you been acting lately" on ebay. the seller has just told me that it might be a boot (he doesn't know, but someone else suggested it). he has offered to cancel the transaction or renegotiate price if it is. any help? thanks!

here is a link to the sale.

You can pick up original stock copies for about £6 , better than a boot !

This is the Demo and it's the only one i've ever seen

Your picture looks like a brand new boot of the original white boot as it's in much better condition

the first boots were very poor quality print and badly blistered labels

I had a demo in the early eighties. Think it went to to Pat Brady if my memory serves me right along with a Larry Clinton demo and Luther Ingram possibly.

well.... luckily, the guy let me out of the sale (as the ebay sale erroneously listed it as "original"), but i just ended up offering him a small amount for it anyway. don't mind having it - cheap!

ha ha. i was in diapers in teh 70s - so i guess i will have to do with this boot!

rad. i'll keep my eye out for one. thanks!

£6!! :D maybe about 15 yrs ago but even the not that rare soul originals are fetching min. £15/£20.

It was i acting as ebay police on this occasion, i pointed out to seller it was not what he was claiming and if it was would be at least £400 + as it's one of the genuine rare unobtainable demo's......and always has been.

To be fair to him he seemed concerned at what i was telling him and seemed genuinely not to know any different and said he would contact the buyer and leave it up to him what he did. Result in my opinion as i often get told to fu** off and mind my own :wicked:
