What's the difference ? I seem to remember that the '71 could have been a lighter colour of label, can't be sure it was a very long time ago !!

This is my copy.....

It carries matrix #73393 which makes it the 1968 press. The 1971 press carries the matrix #85897.

I only noticed this via the Manship Guide. I didn't have a clue which press I had.

However, according to JM Guide the '68 press books at £150 and the '71 at £100

I'm sure nobody cares too much!!! ......................alternatively......everyone who was not aware of this difference will be running to their respective boxes in the hope that they have the '68 press!!!!! :lol:

Seriously.....does it really matter, I have it, bought around the time Harborough was going strong, I think £1.50 from Contempo, cant b arsed to go and dig it out to check the above info.....HOWEVER £90 sounds nice

This is rare Northern soul mate - authentic vinyl antiques - there is a pecking order - kind of goes ... the real deal, the next best thing, then the not quite cuts it, then the fake

You wouldn't get this kind of chat on Bargain Hunt or Dickinson's Real Deal (if that's what they are) about whether something was the true original or not

Would you pay the full price for the genuine first original if you were buying the second re-release? Don't think so.

Hi all The 68 Issue is much rarer than you think, and the DEMO is even rarer, a nice copy of the 68 copy is£100+ however the 71 copy I would put at £40, Orig DEMO, is £££ don't no? DAVE

got the 68 demo in near mint ,interested in its value,but not for sale, put it on the deck shut my eyes back at the torch,

However if it was going to have a US reissue after the '71 issue I'd expect it to be on the dunhill goldies series.

Flashback was the Bell/Amy/Mala and Bell distributed reissue label (ie Goldwax.)

Well mines a '68 as well, so with the number who have it on here, it can't be that rare in comparison to the '71 issue.
