  • The LP has all those other tracks but I only remember "I'll Always Need You" being played much. That's the only track I recall Richard playing at Carolines in Manchester.

  • Me and Pete must have been in the modern room when they did then....

That was never played at Wigan, only Joey Heatherton's version.

Paul Godzilla is correct as ever, only I'll A.N.Y. was played off the LP.

Memory playing up again Pete! When You Call Me Baby WAS played in the big room at the Casino, only a couple of times, and late on too around 79 - 81.

Ah - The World's Rarest LP entitled "It's That Time Of Year" on Brunswick. Both Paul and Pete are correct that Richard did not play Joey Heatherton's version of When You Call Me Baby at Station Road. As it is clearly documented that Mr Searling misplaced his only known copy of this LP during 1974. A 2nd copy appeared or was unearthed by a young Tony Ellis, which is now owned by midlands collector Mike Holdsworth.

Just out of interest Richard's copy was bought off Nick Washer, who had previously introduced this only known LP with the tracks of "Love Love Love" and I'll Always Need You" and "I'm In Love" via Dee Jays at the Torch. Nick found the first copy of this LP in London in 1970, whilst hunting down soul in Harlequin Records.

It will have have to have been earlier - I'm sure that by then Richard's copy had gone in the 'driving away with the rarest album in the world still on the roof of the car' incident

Think there's a few more than 3 - probably about 6 or 7

The rare one is the UK white test pressing - and the US Bell Sound Acetate - far as I know still only one of each.

I was talking about the time when RS had it and played IANY off it - which was 1977.

How can I remember them playing it in 79 when I stopped going in August 78 Brainiac?
