Don't know if it's the book you are on about but I'd recommend Neil Rushton's Northern Soul Storys, really enjoyed.

Off subject but my mrs is reading that 50 shades book, I'm really going to enjoy that :-)

The Story of Northern Soul by David Nowell.

Road Through Motown - Ralph Terrana

Hype & Soul: Behind The Scenes at Motown - Al Abrams

Only Human - Tommy Hunt

I'm just reading A House on Fire: The Rise and Fall Of Philadelphia Soul, great reading.

"Searching for Soul" by Reg Stickings.

Think Dr Pickles on here is a mate of Reg or had something to do with distribution.

Don't know if you're on about Little Reg's book ''searching for soul'' or Brian Waterhouse's ''Going back''. I think Brian is on here, but is definitely contactable via facebook, https://www.facebook.com/brian.waterhouse.73

I read it and enjoyed it, no airs and graces, it's quite short so you'll probably read it in a day :)
