Johnnie Taylor - Leroy Little Special

...Just doing a bit of Stax research at the moment, and going through the original 'Yellow' Stax label copy that has survived the passage of time.

In the Johnnie Taylor file, I found label copy for a limited promo with this coupling:

I'm Not The Same Person (from the 'Who's Making Love' album)/

Who Can I Turn To (from 'The JT Philosophy Continues' album)

...scheduled to be pressed in a unnumbered run of 500 copies as a 'Leroy Little Special'. (Before anyone asks, LL was a promo man at Stax).

I have another 'Leroy Little Special' pairing the Staple Singers' 'Give A Damn' and 'God Bless The Children' on STP 102. Presumably, even though it carried no catalogue number, the JT pairing was supposed to be STP 101.

I have never seen - or, until I went through the LC file, heard of - this supposed promo. Nor has anyone else who's in at at Ace today.

Do any of the other hard core Stax collectors on here know if it came out and can they back up their knowledge with label scans?
