1. ARETHA FRANKLIN "Are you sure" (Columbia)

Killer uptempo gospel influenced R'n'B from the magic Aretha Franklin. One of the toughest to get on this label. Watch the people's faces when the drums come in, highly recommended!

M-, 23UKP/ 30 Euro

https://www.amazon.de/Are-You-Sure/dp/B008VT5P0W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347638190&sr=8-1

2. QUIXOTICS "žReach out" (Blackman)

VERY rare northern/modern soul with a great voice. Was considered to be on a one-off acetate only until some time ago a few copies surfaced. Slighty off center but was fixed (pencil marks where to put the middle). Every copy I've ever heard about has been off center. Can do a soundfile if you don't know it!

Vg+, 165UKP/ 200 Euro

3. THIRD WISH "You gotta believe/ Inst."Â (LeCam)

What a tune, heavily played by Mr. Marc Forrest a few years back. Very rare Northern Soul with a funky latin twist made for the dancefloor!

M-, 300UKP/ 360Euro

4. ELLA FITZGERALD & Jimmy Jones Orchestra "These Boots are made for walking"Â (Salle)

For me the best version to play, great backing band!

6. RUDY MOCKABEE "Sweet Thing"Â (Atco)

Highly recommended tune should be in everyone's box. Uptempo northern with a funky edge. Don't know if Karl Heard plays this but I bet it would fit into his sets!

Vg++, plays great 82UKP/ 100 Euro

7. ROY WARD "Horse with a freeze pt.1/pt.2"Â (Seven B)

Deep Funk with a frantic drum intro on this New Orleans label, produced by the almighty Eddie Bo

It has a tiny scratch about 2mm long into the direction of the groove, barely audible. Apart from this, M- 33UKP/ 40 Euro

A superb uptempo tune with gritty vocals, brass stabs-a-plenty and great drumming. Still seems to be unknown to a lot of people, so have a listen below if you don't know this. Nice b-side as well!
