Happy hunting for the 45 Sean , one of my 'want' too - only very occasionally have I've seen for sale , the last one £300ish .

Original LP quiet hard to find in reasonable condition , though been re issued a couple of times on different labels i believe .

Disagree Warren - Their was for a spate of time one on ebay each month - but very few recently.

one a month wont hurt it tho as demand is very high at the moment

Black sugar were probably the most successful band in Peru at the time ,so this 45 would have been around in quantity .

Most copies actually come from Peruvian sellers on ebay ..so it's a case of demand outstripping supply as to why its still getting lots of attention by bidders .

When it was relatively unknown you could pick it up for less than $100 with hardly any bidders ,obviously .lol

So in truth it isnt really a rare record ,just indemand and highly priced ..

lp has been re-issued ,twice at least ..original is the only one with the sono radio label on the actual disc.

Funk that has seen plenty of action on the SOUL SCENE

Not in the slightest. Got the 45 myself and love it. Been spinning it for years and still do but there is always a tendency on this scene to overprice what is very readily available.

this is very true like you say ....lots of records overpriced and available
