Directions to Camel Club

From the west

Take junction 23 from M62 and take the A640 into Huddersfield (about three miles) going straight across at both roundabouts you come to,

You will eventually get to the traffic lights at the ring road junction, you will see the New Baptist Church to the left on the opposite side of the ring road, carry on straight through the lights onto Westgate.

From the east

Take junction 24 from the M62 and take the A629 into Huddersfield (again about three miles). When the road eventually splits allowing access to the ring road in two directions take the one to the right. Drive round the slip road passing through one set of traffic lights and onto the ring road, you will then come to another set of traffic lights with the New Baptist Church on your left, take a left at these traffic lights onto Westgate.

On Westgate you will come to yet another set of traffic lights outside St Patrick's Centre on the left and the bus station on the right. Carry on straight through and at the next set of traffic lights turn left off Westgate onto Railway Street.

Drive down Railway Street and you will see the railway station set back on the left, parking is available at the far end of the railway station. Facing away from the station on your right you will see the Yorkshire Bank with Station Street running along the topside of it. Walk up Station Street for about 40 yards, passing St Peter's Street, on the left down a few steps is Byram Court which is also a walkway through to John William Street, the Camel Club is on the right down this walkway.

If you find yourself on John William Street look for Witherspoon's pub, almost directly across the street is Sizzlers takeaway and Travelcare with Byram Court between them.

Hope to see you there.

Cheers,

Colin Wood.
