Guest Les F Posted June 25, 2008 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Title: willie tolver - why you lied - laryanArtist: willie tolverTrack: why you liedLabel: laryan Record information:right at the top of this thread, i posted a couple of tunes from last year, billy jones & eli reed, and here is a track from the recent willie tolver cd, all proving that there is still good deep soul being recorded today. i know the new sound soul is not to everyone's taste, personally i hate synthed strings and horns, even when they're done well, but due to the economics involved in recording todays independant soul music, it's understandable, and bareable, when the arrangements and songs are good, and the vocal is strong, as is the case here and on the previous examples.
