December 15, 201212 yr Probably late 60's Canadian woman cut in a Canadian studio (Toronto, Montreal, ?). Back then, Canadian radio had to play loads (a high %) of Canadian made tracks by law; that policy stimulated local releases a lot. She sounds white to me too. Edited December 15, 201212 yr by Roburt
December 15, 201212 yr 1960s, are you joking? it's a disco track. Canada still has local content requirements: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_content
December 15, 201212 yr Author It sounds me white also. It's a Quality test pressing 45, found it in a Toronto record store a couple of years ago.
December 15, 201212 yr Is there any clue to the date of the recording or a number of any kind? The title sounds pretty obvious, a year would narrow it down if it was released.
December 15, 201212 yr Sounds like maybe early 1970s (1972-74)? Maybe a local, Toronto production? It's hard to peg. The songwriting/structure sounds '60s, but some of the instrumentation sounds early '70s.
December 15, 201212 yr There's something quite catchy about it. Peter Yes. It's a nicely written song and a nice arrangement. I'd rather have a more soulful vocal, however.
