just started listening....the belles band - don't pretend...THE ORIGINAL BACKING TRACK...NOT THE SOUSSAN MASH UP!.....so has anyone out there got an acetate of it??...think mr. smith and i remember the late bryn lane having this in his collection many years ago, though how he came by it and off whom, i do not know...but if that were played now,...it would be HUGE!, yes, an instrumental, every bit a part of the secne today, as it was back then.

I've got it Rob, do you want me to get you one cut?  I did it myself last month cos I stupidly sold someone the acetate 5 or 6 years back, I might have even given it him for nothing, idiot I am

I'll bow to your superior knowledge (and memory) Pete. Those couple of tracks just remind me of my early days at Station Rd..

August & Deneen had a very long shelf like though, 74 to 77 when it was issued on UK, long time in those days

Barry is that Dave Portway with you?

steve,yes ...

Sheila Anthony "Livin In Love" was issued in the UK on Route Records in 1975 after it was a big sound in Wigan. So certainly this tape is from 1975 (or earlier). Third Time Around was also huge in 1975.

Lou Pride "Comin Home" seals it, I was there that night (1975) I distinctly remember going on stage after Lou Pride finished to look at and memorise the artist and label!

The Drifters was getting played way before Wigan opened it's doors in 1973.
