Any info on the Wyncote label and Detroit sound Jumping at the gogo

Wyncote was a budget LP label owned by Philly's Cameo Parkway set up. The Jumping at The Go Go on Wyncote is, as far as I know, a bastardised bootleg of the original Four Larks - "Groovin' At The Go Go" on Tower.

No it comes from an LP of cover versions, it was never released on a single apart from a boot. It's an adaption of Grooving At The Go Go with some lyric changes.  I prefer this version!

Anyone know what the album is would/should fetch?

From your original post I assumed you meant that the original Four Larks recording had in some way been altered - I was trying to check whether that was what you meant.

Clearly the 45 is a boot - but the Detroit Sounds is a bona fide recording of the song in the same way that something like Jenny & the Jewels was a budget cover of the Supremes.

 

Clearly you aren't a fan but it is a legit recording.

Having interviewed all three of the guys extensively, it's still difficult to establish exactly what was licenced by them and what was simply 'pressed up' by people with an eye for the UK Northern market.  Hence my use of a question mark.
