October 27, 201311 yr OMG - 43 odd years later and I feel vindicated. I saw TVOEH in concert a bit before this - August 1970 when they were in this gospel/community choir period. Loved them. But hard to explain to people how brilliant they were until this. This is the early 70's album - all with this same vibe. Meanwhile treat yourselves to 4mins 8secs of this:
October 28, 201311 yr wow, thats fantastic ! and what is that tune called ? jason It's "Right On Be Free" which is the title track of the first album. They did a lot of cover versions - in their own brilliant style. But I think Right On Be Free was written for them. CD version of the album with loads of bonus stuff is up on Amazon. 30 sec snippets of all the tracks so you can get a feel of it all. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Right-Free-Voices-East-Harlem/dp/B0009FHKRM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382918262&sr=8-1&keywords=right+on+be+free
