Tony I'm not sure there is a white label boot - definitely pale blue and pale green

You're right Pete, I remember getting one I thought was white, but was light blue plus the Colt logo was all wrong too!

Why did it get pressed?

 

Was it ever a big record? It may be a matter of taste but this is a very poor record. At least, it's always sounded rather feeble and fifth rate to me.

 

I have never heard it played out and have sometimes wondered.... (once or twice in the last 30 years or so that is, I'm not eaten up about it, or nothing....)

Gold is Good un.

I think of Joe Matthews - Kit Kat when I hear this, prob the guitar, Joe is a bit more Velvet Underground tho.

Had a bit of a revival bout 18mths ago was played out all over the place,suppose it depends on were you go or were you are in the uk as to what you hear.

one of searlings wigans spin,,,had two gold issues and a white demo...just got gold issue left now

Its a feckin quality tune, real deal northern.....imho

Thought mine was a reissue (pale green) that I think came from soul bowl late 70s ?

 

Is there a way to tell (run out groove/numbers ) without colourblndness ?
