Not really.  The higher the money, the better chance of someone considering selling.

1200 + on manships , but should cost 700 max in mint condition , I'm also after a copy but have seen them go for $550 in vg+ , so i'd rather wait for one than pay silly money

a box was found about 10 years ago and I dipped in price, I got one for 300 quid at Cleethorpes

It might have dropped to 300/400 quid with the find but it didn't take long before it was back to around £700 and that was with copies still in circulation.  That was also several years ago.   It wasn't surprising given that there is very little supply of this but plenty of demand that it fetched what it did on JM's auction.  Over priced?  Maybe?  I still would have expected around £800 to £1k if someone had asked before the auction.

mine is VG+ tops and have been offered £750 twice in the last 18 months ...sold 2 at prestatyn about 8 years ago for £550 & £650 in VG poss just VG+ ...could have sold 10! ...never seen them at £300 since then or would have snapped them up....wicked chooon dont think an offer over £1000 would get mine

Records with Soulful Content with a Northern Soul groove are a better investment than GOLD BULLION!

The mint copies are now over here in Britain and being in the hands of serious collectors, are unlikely to be offered for sale. Copies turning up in the St Louis area are likely to be well used. The label owner's stock has all gone and the master tapes now reside in the Ace archives although Stax own the copyright to the song. Maybe someone who needs the cash will put their copy up for sale but this is likely to be a rare event.
