If things follow as before a superb double header is about to be relegated to the ranks of " overrated" because of its celebrity status bought about by value. I am talking about the London issue of Darell Banks. Please don't let it happen, this is one of the cornerstones of our music, but, be aware it will be under threat.

  • One of the best of all-time.   Don't get the British thing at all, never have.  The winner will have to pop the middle bit out as a matter of principle

OK let's just say this happened, it didn't but it's just a scenario: the US release was delayed for some reason and the UK one came out first.  Then that, in some people's minds, would make the original USA recording, a reissue!

Which is why they can't apply the same rules to different countries, each country has it's own original.

The London label has "Recorded by Revilot". It's not about the timing.

British releases fascinate me because I wonder how an obscure USA record managed to find its way to Britain.  The labels are dull compared to thier USA counterparts they reek of terrace houses, grimy factories and people who were prepared to disregard the pulp of the hit parade and blaze a trail  for artists outside of common knowledge, which when you, think about it, is what we all do without even thinking about.
