The other day whilst looking for a certain record out of my collection,  I came across The Wrong Side of Town  by The Four Vandals ( Steve Brookstein).  I had bought it a few years ago when it was one of the most requested records played out on the scene.  I put it on my turntable and thought to myself, you know what,  this ain't a bad record. I think over the years we have all read of the deception by Ian Levine, but I do think that now is the time to give it a spin again.what do you think( and no swearing ) Rod :g:

I see this has got a right slagging, not only on here but on youtube posts too, i was wondering if there is an original version before the Levine remix/mix.

Nope.............."Apparently" it was commissioned by Levine to dupe the top DJs with Xfactor winner Steve Brookstein on lead vocals.

So what are the thoughts on 'Solid ground'? again Levine penned and produced.

AWFUL.......disco-pap!

Amazed that this thread runs to 5 pages ... should have been done and dusted after the very first reply ...

That said I'm off to read it through , can't beat a bit of good old-fashioned vitriol on a Friday tea-time ...

I think it was the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest entry from Gibraltar. Can't remember the group but it might have been The Flatulence Four. Seem to recall it was Tony Blackburn's Pick Of The Week but he turned down the offer of miming to it when he did a personal appearance at The Casino.
