Hi to all, hoping for some advice please.
All the evidence from old threads on here, and other places suggests the following.
We own a genuine copy of ZZ & Company Getdown on Columbus.
And own the convincing lookalike boot/2nd Press/Reissue of Pages Heartaches on Sunstruck.
So with a view to possibly selling, I would appreciate some advice.
Both nice clean excellent condition at least.
Starting with the ZZ & Company. Yes you see it for sale quite regularly.
But many of these are often lookalike 2nd presses too. Sometimes stated as so, but not always.
So wondered if the genuine original, is really worth much more in reality?
And do a lot of collectors not do their research, or really not care between the two on this title?
Now regarding the Pages Heartaches and Pain.
Now you don't see this for sale very often, original or lookalike/boot.
And what past sales we have found on the internet, often no explanation if original or not.
So a lot are probably the same copy we have, sold as an original.
It must have appeared before the mid 80's, as that's when we bought most of our modern stuff.
But we can't remember where we bought it from, though it will have been a good old fashioned paper list.
It appears that it must be pretty rare in itself. would there be much interest in it, would you say?
And what sort of value would I put on it? Just don't want to deceive anyone.
Like you see on e bay so often. Boots listed with nothing to suggest they are.
But also wouldn't want to sell it for peanuts either.
Maybe look to accept offers? If it didn't raise a very good offer, we would rather keep it.
Any thoughts/advice on these two records, would be much appreciated.
Cheers Donna.
