Pete - it sounds alot like the Del Royals version on Mercury (see scan) which came out Oct 1969. Havent got time to compare the two maybe its an unreleased different mix of the DR's? cheers, derek

December 20, 200420 yr Only ever seen double sided WDJ's of this - anybody got a red issue and whats the flip like? Believe the Del Royals only had 2 releases on Mercury. Great vocals indeed from Willie Johnson I suspect (he's the featured singer named on the credits).
