If I remember rightly first introduced to the Northern scene by Dave Withers (in 1999?). Still generates ‘mixed’ opinions tho popularity as a dj play has waned somewhat .

my memory (which may be dodgy) says Dave Rivers early 2000s after hearing it on the Sopranos
