This week’s killer lowrider 45s list

Recommended Posts

Hector Rivera and The Latin Renaissance - I Need You I Want You I Love You (4 Points) Mint- £150 ***SOLD***

I predict big things for this 45, still under the radar I think here in the U.K. but with big demand stateside it can only rise in value. For me Rivera’s finest outing s delightful lowrider ballad with a mesmerising almost hypnotic backing track. Don’t sleep.

Smokey Brooks - Eternal (Now) Mint- £75

Stunning early ’70s lowrider ballad that will have its crossover fans especially those that like the slower side of the genre. Hard record to find and the cheapest on the net currently!

Alex Spearman - Stairway To Nowhere (Rosemont) Mint- £75

Rarer issue of this seemingly unknown dancer on this highly collectable and generally scarce label, why this has never received any real exposure is beyond me! But it’s the rare and sublime deep soul ‘Stairway’ on the flip that’s worth the asking price alone!

Contrails - Someone (Diamond) Ex £35

And finally not to disappoint the group harmony fans, here’s a killer cheapie that I think is still relatively under the radar in the U.K. at least. A gorgeous blue-eyed ballad that sounds like £500 45. Doubt it’ll remain at under £50 for long though.
