Please help! Can anyone identify this 80’s Rare Groove from the lyrics….

Closest I can think of Alicia Myers - I Want To Thank You

I was really into my rare groove stuff mid 80s - early 90s. 

But I don't recognise that at all? Was it male vocal/mid tempo/era of said record? Was it soul/ jazzy/ funk? Rare groove covered quite alot of genres/ title guess?

I do have a small clip of the song, which was passed to me by a friend, hopefully I can figure out how to share it!

Obviously that would be super helpful!! - like Geeselad says some of those lines sound familiar to me too.

Don't recognize it at all - never ever heard it. like it, but sounds relatively modern/new to me though, not sure it has much age

 

as above tune colin curtis ,tune asked at the time cd only not sure if out on vinyl 

It’s an additional track on the 2005 Expansion album Get This Party Started compiled by Chris Hill. It’s not listed in the track listing but appears as the last track I think on side 4.
