Buggery Damn, I knew we should have come with..........

Great write up sir

John

You hear too many tiresome boasts on this scene of ours of "biggest and best" etc. However no puffed out chests for the 100 club and Ady never gives it the big one. The 100 club does what it does best and for longer than any other venue in our history.

Its been too too long for me and will be looking to get back to the 100 club soon.

Is the lass in the first photograph wearing ear plugs ?

I know a few who do.To cut out the treble if you have hearing probs from work.No reflection on the music.

Yep she always does. She says she not going to have hearing as bad as mine at my age.

Thanks for such a thoughtful write-up Dave, coming from a man of your taste and experience it means a lot. It'll sound like mutual back scratching but it's true that I credited Stafford and your mob for giving us a direction and purpose in the mid 80s when we were drifting a bit. I doubt if we'd have got to 35 without your scene's influence and cultural exchanges between the nutters of the North and the Psychos of the South. That's why I dedicated the Tommy Navarro spin to Stafford.

Cheers

Ady

I hope I am not included in the nutters of the north !

Bit of a long shot, but did anybody make notes of the playlists from the night. Trying to remember what was played to put on my phone to listen to in the car, but can only remember about 50 tunes.

my favourite nighter of all time must try harder to return. Ady is one of the true gents of the scene and not forgetting Randy god rest his soul.
