Really enjoyed the film, very well put together and great tunes. Plenty of history but balanced up with the joy of people listening to and dancing to great music. Couldn't stay for the q&a and afters unfortunately

I also attended the screening yesterday in Soho. Really enjoyable documentary just over an hour long, it was preceded by a shot film of some of the artists on the Symphonical record label, which also was very good. Some of the topics covered in the Q&A included references to Northern Soul, the Jamaican sound systems of the 60's playing soul music mentioning that a lot of the songs being played could be later found on the East Side Story LP's. Interesting quote in the film from one of the DJ's highlighted, Arlene Sepulveda that all the records they were collecting were in England and they were having to come over here to buy and bring them back home! The directors in the Q&A said they may make some minor adjustments based on feedback from the screenings before entering the documentary in various film festivals. Unable to stay for the after party, but I am going to start checking and paying more attention to the b sides in my collection to see if there any sweet soul gems I have missed. If you get the chance to see the film, well worth watching.

It was an excellent film ,as was the Symphonical Records piece also .The producers were still filming yesterday and at Liverpool ,so the film will probably be extended eventually. The Q & A and after party was also great ,good to witness a Ruben Molina set first hand .

Great to see it featured here, I had a listen and to make searching a bit quicker the section runs from 1 hour 59 minutes into the show, through to 2 hours 23 minutes.
