Agreed Julian. Bumper harvest this year. Made a vat of stewed plums flavoured with ginger, orange zest, cinnamon and honey at the weekend. Fabulous chilled with a dollop of Greek yogurt!

Loads of apples this year, too many probably. Masses of blackberries just over the back fence so we had this pavlova as a treat .

Lots of conkers this year after hardly any last year. Bl***y squirrels will be burying them in the garden any time soon.

Today was supposed to get them off in a basket but ate half of them.

Yep never known a harvest of Victoria plums like it.

I’ve had them stewed, eaten them raw, made a plum streusel cake and a huge vat of plum and chilli chutney.

As well as given them away by the bucket load to friends, family and neighbours.

And there’s still some on the tree!

We planted a bit of an orchard 7yrs ago in the back garden , 3 x apples trees , 1 x pear tree , 2 x plum trees , 2 x olive trees , 2 x gooseberry bushes , hazel nut & a walnut tree , but the star of the show this year is the Passion fruit on the Passion flower climber out the front .
