In the throes of moving house and I discovered a few 7's in the loft that I thought I had sold 25 years ago to fund getting married. Any idea on value for Call me tomorrow - Major Harris (Okeh 7327). The vinyl has a few stratches but it plays excellent.

Also I've got a copy of Mr Big Shot - Gene Chandler (Constellation 1027) - how do I tell if it's a boot or original - also whats the value of an original?

Mr Big Shot, have seen around the £80 mark which when discussed some time back on here was considered daft as it was considered not that rare.

Got to agree with the major harris,issue and demo are lovely,one of the few winstanley spins at wigan 78-79 early doors that i liked along with tommy bush-i dont like it and serio mendes lovE MUSIC.

"Call Me Tomorrow" was played well, well before then. As early as 1973 at the Catacombs I think. It was then revived in late 1974 and finally gained it's well deserved reputation as a genuine classic.

I have a memorable tape of Colin Curtis at the Queen Mary Ballroom, Dudley in late 1974 announcing it with the words; "Here's one that's grown big again up there in Blackpool, Major Harris and CALL... Me Tomorrow..."

I wouldn't think "Mr. Big Shot" is very valuable, as it was only £15 or so in the mid-90s, and hasn't had a massive revival since. I thought the bootlegs were on a totally different label (Out Of The Past?) but I may be wrong on that.

Tch! Fancy leaving a couple of masterpieces like that in the attic !!?? Shame on you! (er, what else 'ya got up there? Can I just have a quick look...?)

wasn't this booted on the white lable 00TP series which concentrated on stuff from the Torch so possibly it was a very early 1972/73 Mecca spin...
