Posted August 28, 200717 yr Anyone collect the label? If anyone does i have a copy of LENNY LACOUR - ROCKIN ROSALIE vs DISCO BILL/ BAMBOO WALLS - MT9023 yes it's as bad as it sounds but in ex cond. If anyone wants it PM me - it's free to anyone who needs it but would be nice if the person chucks a couple of quid in a charity box. Derek
August 31, 200717 yr Don't know that one. I have LaJohn & Sheela 'Too Far Gone/Every Body's Problem' MT-9027 which is well worth picking up. Don't think I have anything else on this label.
September 1, 200717 yr Sean Mr Esquire Taylor & The Vic Pitts Cheaters - Never Do I Worry, probably one of the best for me on the label. What's the deal with it's release though, the label is 2007 Harvey Scales with the details for Sean Taylor just stamped over the top and label number 2003A used. You can still see all the Harvey Scales details underneath. Was it never officially released, any "clean" labels out there Edited September 1, 200717 yr by chalky
September 1, 200717 yr Just looked on JM's ROTR and see there is one there with its own label (i.e. where it's not stamped over Harvey Scales). Edited September 1, 200717 yr by chalky

September 1, 200717 yr Ever heard 'Trackdown' by Harvey? Yes I did collect it and did an article in Shades of soul on this very label. Yes got Trackdown - prefer the other side.

September 1, 200717 yr i wouldn't have thought so. Changing the subject i take it you were at selhurst today? Derek
September 1, 200717 yr if you like Soul+++ Ballads....LONNIE LARRY +ALMIGHTY SONICS "YOU CANT LEAVE ME" (1981) cheap as chips.......
September 2, 200717 yr Running the Magic Touch label would be pretty painful... lots of obscure titles that never turn up and are terrible.
September 2, 200717 yr Running the Magic Touch label would be pretty painful... lots of obscure titles that never turn up and are terrible. running most prolific labels would be painful, but magic touch has some great stuff hidden in there. weird harvey 45s, a killer alternate take of 'mix up a go go' by junior and the classics, the tornado's, evelyn smith, etc. the lennie lacour stuff is all junk, but all the black-music output has merit i think.
September 2, 200717 yr the tornado's, Easily the rarest one on the label. Yes a complete mix, it was a fun label to collect because there are so many numbering series. When I did the article I missed out the Mar J's and the Tornadoes
September 2, 200717 yr Changing the subject i take it you were at selhurst today? Derek Oh yes. The only positive I take out of it is that at last a few others are starting to see that Mr Taylor is hopeless..still looking forward to Dickoff in our shirt - he might install some of the passion that's so clearly missing from the bench.

My copy is "clean" (I have only ever seen one copy with the Harvey Scales details "underneath" and that's the one on the Lifeline homepage):

Derek Well, all I own are HARVEY SCALES-TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE and the instrumental version on another MAGIC TOUCH 45 somewhere. Wouldn`t mind a copy of SEAN TAYLOR (MR ESQUIRE)-NEVER DO I WORRY if someone`s got one for sale. Been searching for this since Cleethorpes Pier many moons ago...Scarce-ish...
