Years ago i had a single called "The Wigan Joker" unfortunately it went missing and i am wondering if any one knows who sung it and if i can get hold of a copy be it on vinyl or CD

I really don't know what the matter is with the people on here ?

Just because they seem to think they know everything about Northern / Southern etc they shoot someone down for posting something they think is funny/a wind up.

As i said in a post which was deleted by mike i know very little about Northern compared to some but its the music that makes me smile and gets my feet moving and always has been.

Think the thing is that records like the one you're asking about are classed as dirty words by probably most people on here. They represent all that is embarrassing about the old Northern soul scene, and they probably think you're winding them up by asking for it. It's a bit like saying you're into fine art and that you really want a series of pictures with dogs playing pool. Try doing a Google search. The fact that the music makes you smile gets your feet moving will make you welcome on here, but you will have to get used to some ribbing.

Yes Ive got One On Kashika and one ep on Columbia Paul Sindabs that is- But you obviously want a powertree or Knox me thinks!
