Martin Brogan (I think) did me a tape years ago of cover versions by "non" soul artists. Sure this was on it. Will have to have a root through the cupboard and see if I can find it.

thanks steve its canny innit

Adore the man - did so much Northernesque stuff on many albums and its only his name and colour that stopped people playing them. Heard a lot worse. If I get time may even put some other similar bits he done up.

Great track, Must admit I 'm a bit partial to a bit of Tom Jones now and again,

Looking out my window

The lonely one

Chills and fever

A few more stompers from the Welsh crooner.

Cheers Tony.

Don't forget 'Stop Breaking my Heart' - 100% blue-eyed stomper!

Tom Jones Dr Love Decca LP

Bit of a Box question (sorry) but kind of on topic. Snagged a copy of this (ebay $24.99) with what's described as the 'outdoors cover' .. Bit of a strange one as was only familier with the flaming issue?

was it not the case that the "Atomic bomb" cover was dropped for the US market as it was felt to be inappropriate for them,

steve

Also came out on a French EP.

As you can probably guess, i'm a closet Jones fan.

I must admit i keep going back to, The Loser, from the Atomic LP. a good beat ballad of the highest order.

Not to be sniffed at version of 'Can't Break The News' on the 68' Help Yourself LP ..

Got to admit I went on a coach to see him years ago. It was full of WI ladies . Lots of knicker throwing, but he was great!!

'If I had You' aint bad too!

I have quite a few...ahem...I mean I could possibly get you some Japanese releases, if you want?

May I throw two more into the arena:

'Things I wanna do' - a wonderful beat-ballad/mid-tempo mover...full orchestration job

'Never give away love' - in the same stomping vein as, 'Stop breaking my heart'.
