November 16, 200717 yr Would (95% for sure) have had the cash sorted to buy those tonight...5 minutes after being highlighted on here and someone else got themselves a great deal.
November 16, 200717 yr Think they may be heading off to Manchester... He's not that clever as his history shows he payed £155 for a Billy Prophet bootleg
November 16, 200717 yr Author He's not that clever as his history shows he payed £155 for a Billy Prophet bootleg How can you tell from that scan Paul? Was it booted as a WD?
November 16, 200717 yr Funny would have said that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Why would anyone sell 15ks worth of records for 7k.....
November 16, 200717 yr How can you tell from that scan Paul? Was it booted as a WD? No Sue on the face logo
November 16, 200717 yr He's not that clever as his history shows he payed £155 for a Billy Prophet bootleg Exactly what I thought
November 16, 200717 yr Exactly what I thought Some nice UK Items though. Depends if Condition as Described I suppose, suprised the seller didn't sell them as Individual Items. They appear to be a regular ebayer (2230) feedback. No doubt went for a Quick Turnaround of Cash. Be Interesting to know what they paid for someones lifetime collection. An Instant collection, becomes more of a Bargain the more I think about it. No traveling, hunting etc, the thrill of the chase ain't there but Instant Collection. November 16, 200717 yr Funny would have said that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Why would anyone sell 15ks worth of records for 7k..... Probably because they paid a pittance for them and were happy to take a very quick few grands worth of profit?
November 16, 200717 yr You have to feel a bit sorry for the guy who had to sell them in the first place.
November 16, 200717 yr Probably because they paid a pittance for them and were happy to take a very quick few grands worth of profit? Then why didn't the guy with the collection stick them on ebay as a job lot himself?
November 16, 200717 yr Then why didn't the guy with the collection stick them on ebay as a job lot himself? This reminds me of the time that I was waiting Outside a Second Hand Shop in Doncaster for It to Open. The guy who owned It normally opened around 10:00 but was late. Up walks this Woman with a Suitcase, nothing unusual about that as the Shop was near to the Railway Station. I Was only about 16 but had been working for a year on Apprentice wages. Casual chat for a few minutes and then the Owner came. Being a Gentleman I let her go Into the shop first and headed straight for the records. Stunned and Gutted I heard her ask him "How Much For This Case Of Records", and watched him offer her £3 which she took. When I looked at the records, they were all UK Soul Labels. Over the next couple of days my savings were used to buy as many as I could afford. If only the subject of records had come up, as I had just over £5 on me. Apprentice wages at the time 4 pounds, 19 shillings and 6 pence. An Instant Collection and missed the bargain.
November 16, 200717 yr Then why didn't the guy with the collection stick them on ebay as a job lot himself? Probably doesn't realise the full value of what he/she had, or maybe it was someone's missus finally sorting out a long term issue
