Why the desperation to get them on vinyl?

Unless you want to DJ with bootlegs? ph34r.gif

hi, love "he knows how to love me" have always prefered this track to "stop and youll..."

have both on black columbia 45s also have the mentioned cds.

the flip to "he knows" is a rocking version of "shop around"

must admit wouldnt really get any satisfaction from playing copies of these not the same

as taking them out of there original sleeves and seeing that lovely uk label going round imo

what do these go for nowadays?

Stop I have seen at £130 to £345 for a demo and He Know's £75 £120 for the demo.

Stop or He Know's

Stop was on a kind of Best Of Helen album that came out in 1978. A few years ago I found a tape which I'd done in 78 and it had things on there which I remembered having: broadway cissy, melvin davis, that sort of thing - but it had Helen Shapiro on as well and I knew I'd never had it. Was only years later when I found another copy of the LP that I remembered that I definitely didn't have it on 45 but I had that LP out of my local newsagents!

Mono or Stereo Pete?

Reprocessed stereo probably! Mono on my tape. Also has the A side, She Needs Company on there as well, good song.

LIKE A BIT OF HELEN ME, HAD BOTH OF THESE ON UK DEMO,S IN RECENT YEARS. TWO NICE DOUBLE SIDERS IMHO. STILL GOT A RED AND WHITE OF HE KNOWS.... ALSO GOT A NICE PYE 45 CALLED TAKE ME FOR A WHILE, PROPER POP NORTHERN. thumbsup.gif

'stop' still a big tune in its day ....

always got in my box in the unlikelyhood that someone will ask for it..

still like it meself ...

Great record - remember the very first time this was played at Wigan (by Russ) introduced as Dana Valery. Only took about 2 weeks before everyone found out who it was and sadly it got dropped.
