Two Questions after years of searching.
 

• Following all of that trouble getting the Title Correct & the Rush Reservice DEMO, was there a Red Stock Copy with the correct title, or was it shelved Until the Northern Interest years later......?
• The Grey Label was a Re-Issue due to Demand, but was there a DEMO.

Anyone know.

Resurrecting this thread as I'm playing this on t'radio at the moment, the grey is a legal repress from about '73. Forgotten how powerful it is!

I had a message from George's wife when i put this on youtube. She was adamant that the record i posted (demo with incorrect title) did not exist!!!! George was unaware of it. I did another short youtube with the above scans and information so he could see the different releases of his record - never heard back again though.

Are you sure it came out on the red CSP series? Can't recall that one!

I have always assumed different period of time regarding press.

The "special rush reservice" text can be seen on loads of Columbia 45s that for some reason got re-promoted to radio stations, either with a different edit of a tune, as mono/stereo dj copies, because of a pressing/printing error, or flipping the b-side to a-side in case the intended b-side started to get radio plays. They were all, as far as I know, done at the time of the initial release of the tune in question.

Another piece of the jigsaw falls into place!!!

The first red issue is rare, but this correct spelling issue copy must be a lot harder to find!

Sorry bout that I can't recall a red csp issue but I remember buying this one along with Bernard Purdies Fickle Finger of Fate at the Casino one night.

Credits are expanded to include A Moy on the later? Issues

I'd say doubtful Roger, as they were both done for our scene - has anyone ever found a grey copy in the US?

I'm sure you're right Jerry, such a shame after all that happened with this release that George didn't get the credit he deserved in the U.S.A.
