Guest Paul Gray DJ Posted June 26, 2008 Share Posted June 26, 2008 I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along on Saturday14th June 2008 and for your continued support and remembering Bedfordshire's unique venue. The California Ballroom Roadshow at The Gallery Club in Bedford on Saturday 14th was a demonstration of the fondness still felt by people for the old California Ballroom in Dunstable and the music that was played there. Revellers were treated to 5 hours of Soul and Motown by professional DJs Paul Gray (ex California), Rob James (ex Pink Elephant) with backup from Terry Oliver . Terry will be remembered for his slots on Classic Gold. Dancers kept the floors packed from the instant the doors opened until they were reminded it was time to go home at 2am. The next Road Show will take place on Saturday Sepember 13th and tickets will be on sale on the web site from this week. www.california-ballroom.info We had two winners to our draw to Soul Sunday in Bedford Park which is on Sunday 3rd August. Everyone who had bought their tickets online was entered into the draw as a joint venture between The California Ballroom website and Eastern Breeze. Eastern Breeze will be opereating Soul Sunday and live on stage will be The Motown Show, performing music of The Four Tops and The Temptations also featuring live will be 'Alexander O'Neal', 'Rose Royce' with Gwen Dicky, 'Heatwave', 'Utimate Earth Wind and Fire' and 'Imagination' with Lee John.
