Pep was playing this at his oldies sessions several years ago (alongside Ike & Tina's "Dust My Broom" etc.). Maybe there was a general revival on it around that time?

Certainly is pure class, although i prefer This Old Heart Of Mine. I saw it sell for at least £30 a few months ago, so this is in line with that price. Around 79/80 Behind a Painted Smile was very popular.

absolutly storming record, i was lucky enough to buy them both back then and keep them both great tunes :unsure:

this must have been played every week some where in the Uk at a soul do for the last 30 years, and why not. "tell me its just a rumour " has been as well
