End of the day it's a re-press of a re-press.

Shudder to think what an Al & the Kid 12" original would go for now having seen the crazy prices the Fynal Vinyl 2nd issues fetch.

I know that Bri but near on £200 for a 3rd issue.

I have a red Bunky copy would that be a boot or legal re-issue?

Any help

Thanks

Kev

From what I understand the BUNKY 7" issue is legal but was issued in 1990, ten years after the original 12" release on AL & THE KIDD which was issued in 1980. The FYNAL VYNAL 7" is also a legal reissue done in 1985.

STILL SEEM TO THINK THAT MOST PEOPLE, MYSELF INCLUDED WOULD RATHER HAVE ANY OF THE SEVENS, RE-ISSUE OR NOT, THAN THE ORIGINAL 12".

It was about 1990 when I got the Bunky 7". Was never sure whether it was legal or not.

The Bunky 45 was pressed up by the guy behind AM Tracks, Brian ??? - I forget his surname now.......legal as far as I know, he was in touch with Al at the time and was also involved in the visit to the UK Al Mason made at that time - along with Clifton Dyson etc.....saw them at the Norfolk Village.

I was given my copy by Anorack Pete about the latter days of The Alexandre in Clapham Common.

Used to love those nights at The Norfork Village.

Quite surreal that night Girth. Halcyon days at the Norfolk Village. Did you see them at the Orange club in Kensington too?

If it's anything like the James Day 'Don't Waste The Pretty' seven that he was involved a couple of years back, Al Mason won't have seen a penny from its sales. sad.gif

Not me Bri.

Take the 12" any day of the week.

Normally cheaper & most importantly in most cases better sound quality.

wish id bought the finyl vinyl one from gary welch a few years ago when he was selling for £80 thought long and hard about it but took summat else from him. still looking and i would make do with a bunky one but not for £200 and i cant be bothered with trading. i feel the need to keep everything right now

I remember seeing him at a badly attended weekender at Fleetwood promoted by Bill Swift around this time he was on with Rick Webb and Phillip Mitchell no Clifton Dyson though? . Al Masons voice went halfway through his set but he was very good while he lasted.
