TORSTEN MATUSCHEK (Hamburg, GER)

Born in 1967 and grown up in the dreary suburbs of Germany's 'Motor City' Wolfsburg where he had been running a bar for several years, he followed the teasing gleam of the northern metropolis Hamburg in 1996 and moved to the city with its seaport-flair and its never sleeping amusement district St. Pauli. He had been working as a DJ even before, but it was here that he began to focus more and more on Black American Music in general and 50s / early 60s R&B in particular, from time to time also plunging deeply into Popcorn. Over the years he established himself as a true landmark in the stormy sea of St. Pauli's nightlife, besides other things he and his companions started a monthly R&B/Soul Club, aptly named 'For Dancers Only'. As he has been working most of his life in obscure bars at nighttime, the true habitat of R&B Music therefore, he can be described best as not only loving, but also living this style of music!

60's and 70's Black Music addict, he's a member of Lava Records and founded the «Canigo Soul Casino». He organised the «Perpignan Soul Weekender» in 2007 and 2008 and also co-organised a few scooter rallies in Perpignan from 2003 to 2007. Graphic designer, he often creates 6T's and 7T's influenced designs for gigs, trad ska/reggae/soul groups and other people interested in vintage inspiration. Reggae and Soul 45's collector, he played in several clubs in France, Belgium, North England, Switzerland, Gemany and Catalonia. He played for the first parts of some reggae/ska concerts such as The Skatalites, The Moon Invaders, The Impalers or The Caroloregians.

ROCK-OLA JORDI (Barcelona):

He is, without a doubt, the most international Spanish DJ in the R'n'R scene. He has carried his records around the best festivals and parties in England ("Teddy Boy Weekender" in Great Yarmouth, "Wildest Cats In Town" in Lowestoft, "Ready Teddy Go" in Cleethorpes), Germany ("Sunbeam Rock'n'Roll Club" in Frankfurt, "Panhandle Rebs Club" in D¼sseldorf, "Walldorf Rock'n'Roll Weekender", "Foggy Mountain Rockers" in Niederkassel, "2nd International Rockabilly Meeting" in Oberhausen), France, Finland ("Crown Fire Rock'n'Roll Festival")...

He was caught by the sounds of Bill Haley and Elvis Presley at the tender age of 10 or 11. Without a doubt he was predestined to live the Rock'n'Roll lifestyle because it was at the age of 17 when he first stepped behind the decks of the Rockin' Bar "Swing" in Huesca. Since then, he has been at the wheel of many clubs in his hometown, Barcelona ("Magic R'n'R Club", the mythical teddy boy club "Crepes & Drapes Appreciation Society"...) and he has been guest DJ of an endless list of rockabilly parties and festivals in Spain ("Fifties Teds Rock'n'Roll Club", "Screamin' Festival", "High Rockabilly", "Rockin' Race Jamboree", "Hot Rock Festival"...). Aside from his prolific activity as a DJ, Jordi was the editor of the Ted Magazine "Boogie Bop Dame", and one of the promoters of the "Rock'n'Roll Heaven Festival".

Ike & Tina Turner: This man's crazy (Sue)

Doctor Ross: Come back baby (Sun)

John Lee Hooker: Dimples (Vee Jay)

Jackie Wilson: Come back to me (Coral)

Ron Holden & The Thunderbirds: My babe (Donna)

Special bonus track: Big Jay McNelly: Blues in G minor

+ Resident DJs: Jordi Duro, Alberto Valle & Cristina Alonso
