I've just seen a case where different parts of the records are grading separately i.e. vg at the beginning, ex in the middle and so on. Seems a bit odd to me as I'd have thought the usual way was to give an overall grade then mention any particular flaws like a couple of pops, cue burn 5 seconds etc. To mind doing anything else defeats the point of grading.
