Guest Michael Higgins
Very much an oldie, of the Wigan era (before my time). I've just checked and I've already loaded the track, so if it hasn't arrived in your mailbox in the next few minutes, PM your email and I'll send you it directly. Do you like the record? would this be considerd an Oldie? resonably new to the scene so i dont know the history of some of these records? "Sidra's Theme" (the instrumental) has NO artist listed on the original (SIDRA) label. Ian Levine was the first to play it in late 1973, covered up as "The End Of The World" by The Explosions(!) before it was bootlegged. The vocal version was played a few months later I think, in 1974. At least that's when I first heard it played. Both were eventually released in the UK on John Anderson's 'Grapevine' label. Guest mel brat
Is that an original copy? (mine is a white demo. Styrene) but Kev Roberts' 'N.S. Top 500' book says issues came in red (similar to the Impact label) or BLUE, which I'd never heard of before... Link to comment Social source share
Guest mel brat
may have been the hotel version Wow! What is THIS? Never heard this before! Sounds more soulful than Ronnie & Robyn anyway! (I've sampled 'Sidra's Theme' myself in 'garageband', but the clip is too big to upload...) Edited March 10, 2007 by mel brat Link to comment Social source share

But it sounds great now somehow! Also, didn't I read somewhere that Dale Warren had something to do with Eddie Singleton of Shrine fame? His nephew or something? I've forgotten... (How DID they afford to pay 'em all?) Re. the label, I was thinking PLAIN blue, but he's probably referring to the Blue & Black 'stars' labels (on vinyl) I'm pretty sure the Ronnie & Robyn vocal came in that format, as I recall seeing one or two years ago. Not the instrumental though... Edited March 10, 2007 by mel brat Link to comment Social source share
