yesterday was a wipe out once forum got used a bit an unseen probem come up and bit it think have sussed it and at first look it seems so need to see how it goes thru the next 24 hrs before can say sorted most main forum based features should be ok now any q's or points please post in feedback forum ta mike x 3

site be be closing for a few hours tonight - approx 11pm uktime its all part of the upgrade from hell saga will be closing some features down before this ask please do not post any more images, blogs, aviatars, attachments, calander events till tomorrow as they may be lost as moving stuff around forum posts should be ok till 11pm after this episode things should then be back on track... hopefully

just to recap the intergration between the "front" (refosoul etc ) and the forum will return shortly best bet if any q's or probs is to have a look at members feedback to see if its already been posted or asked there is some chicken and egg stuff going on at moment eg cant sort one feature till another is resolved yep as said in post above gallery is still a issue am looking at it all in a bit will post in feedback the new look is cosmetic the structure is is almost the same as before unfortunatly the pm problem has meant that the changeover is taking longer than planned which may have a effect on use of forum with some stuff not working straight away hopefully resolved very soon mike

as said above all recent pms should now be avail via the profile box at top right corner (which also has links to your blog, gallery etc) the forums went for a walk but should be as were before now hopefully after the recent fun and games now be able to get things 100% solid within next 48hrs there's still a few things outstanding - latest post feature is out of action - issue with some gallery albums and permissions - rebuild all forum posts - rebuild older pms - calendar layout - intergration of refosoul and front login work is ongoing on them along with getting refosoul and rest of stuff intergrated back in though it may look different - the structure and the way things work is almost the same with the upgrade there will be a few teething probs, but all things should once sorted be more solid and work better there are a fair few other new/improved features which will be annouced once the basics fully sorted if do any problems or questions, ask can you please post as a new topic in feedback forum and will try and assist ta mike

ok score at the current moment is that have resolved the performance probs that cropped up yesterday however the rebuilding of all the past pms and posts is taking a lot of time and is the main hold up basicaly every past post or message has to be converted to the new system with the pms in particular this is turning out to be a major hassle its all still ongoing no pm should be lost however they all may still not be available for a few hours yet on look and features apart from the colour and style the actual structure is almost exactlty the same - ie a forum index with links at the top and everything works almost the same links to your messages, albums, blogs etc are up in the top right hand box, (the one with your name on) other probs aware of the "new posts feature" (top right - view new content) is currently not working - this will return once the pms etc have been sorted gallery - appears to be a problem with the thumbnails - will be sorted later unfortunatly the pms are messing things up at the moment, hopefully that be resolved soonest

ok seems once the upgraded version went live and started getting used a lot started hitting unforeseen performance problems main concern at moment is to resolve these performace problems first while this is going on some features may not be available apoligies for the mess around but these problems by their nature only come to light once the forum starts getting used a lot

nope unfortunately it was a case of everything being overwritten

major upgrade to forum occuring over the next few days there be some disruption, hopefully keep any to the forum to a minimum, howver there may be a couple of days where the front sections of soul source (refosoul etc will not be available) at the end of it there will be improved and new features and a solid base for the future note - while test running one part of it ,all posts since 3am till now were written over ie removed, this includes, pms, images etc
