Few changes on way handling various things throughout the forum side As said a few times in past, over time things do change as in evolve on here, be it the way members use the site, the features available, resources used and so on. With these changes do look at things and if needed reflect them in the way the forums are organised and run. There's been a few changes on the sounds side recently and due to these are bringing in the following 1. Start of a trial where the media source forum will be the place for all sound related threads, talking about threads like the long running ones the recent jazz one, the sunday modern one and future similar ones In past box has been a sort of start point, feel may work better now if use media for focus for all sounds/media 2. media source forum will also be the place for all sound clip/mp3 wants, a clip/mp3 wants thread will be started and members asked to use it for simple "want a sound" shout - got to remind all that for obvious reasons, its always been a case that the odd shout for a clip is ok, building up ipod collections isnt. Hopefully this get away from sound wants being posted in various forums 3. mp3 attachments - with the return of refosoul going back to the posting mp3s as attachments not welcome policy Reasons why been said before - copyright issues, drain on resources, dupliction of features etc This will cover all all forums apart from sales ( as some sellers do post up clips of the actual 45s on sale) As said idea is to keep things moving, enjoyable and worthwhile and reflect changes in way site gets used and features available. If any q's or any feedback, please post in the members feedback - a copy of this post will be there

did join a while back I spent a fair bit of time getting his account going, as had problems with using site got repaid for this effort by being included in "legal" threats he gave out against a member and site

one problem thats come up and some have been having is that some clips encoded by real jukebox may not work dunno how wide this get used, but looking at ways to get around this if are using that , if can turn off teh tags when enoding it may help as apperntly it adds extra stuff which currently messes up the on site encoder

Neil due to actual names in the 2 scans have had to remove them if wish to post such, it be best that all names etc are blanked out thanks mike

had a quick look via google dont think its ought to do with here as like yourself most people dont choose to display emails and so they are pretty secure the karen email thing seems pretty widespread going by google and been going a while

can someone post up th eemail in question if possible the headers as well

apoligies for the title, just saw funky nassau listed and couldnt resist it thanks for all the words, but no need I should be saying thanks to all members and mods for sticking around this long waiting for me to finish it

Begining of the End? Long time members may remember over the years said the odd time that will get the site finished in time for the 10 year point no matter what As always classed aug 97 as a rough sort of start date when site first went up, been pushing recently to get to this mythical state of 100% just so can say thats it, the site is finally finished With the long overdue return of refosoul and most other features firm and solid it looks like there's a dogs chance that will hit that finishing line before end of aug, which taking as end of 10 year point other stuff done recently means that have rediscovered a fair bit of the old stuff from round the start of century dont normally do numbers things or looking back much but suppose its a bit of a excuse to endulge so watch out for a series of all our yesterday specials in upcoming weeks stuff just done been a minor update to forum skin for the return of refosoul should be a active news box at top and refosoul icons at top of forum index and bottom of threads refosoul back and open (preview cop out mode) see media forum for info and quick and dirty guide

just done some moving around, vinyl styled threads to box, radio to media no big thing, just makes forum work better, easy to navigate, find what you are after , improves exposure and all that sort a thing ta mike

Thanks for the reply Mark, appreciated. Sure you can understand why any member feeling a need to delete posts on here is a major concern to me, espically when take into account other recent news. Soul Source is supposed to be a site about soul music, where soul fans can post their view on all soul related matters without looking over their shoulder Does seem there are some f*****s who can't accept this and are tryng to censor/controls members views on here All for a easy life me, but have to say that am taking these attempts to influnce what is posted on here as deliberate attempts to damage what we have got going on here ...
