What Time Do You Turrnup?
Just wondering if it's just me or not, but noticed it a lot lately on a normal night(say 8 til 1ish), folk arriving well after 10. or going around 11.30. Speaking only for myself, I like to arrive as early as I can,and rarely go before the end coz I'm a nosy bugger and I;m always feared that the tunes played after I've gone will be better than whats gone before . Like I say-- could be just me. Tony

Kick Kick Kick Arse Northern
Written By Curtis Mayfield, performed by Aretha--don't get much better, gotta feel of Jazz Freak-- Paullette Reeves doncha think??? Another 1 well worthy of mention, which I've been playing for a while (Thanks to Rick Warburton for the tip),and will be next week, is yet another Gem from the pen of Van McCoy. No Trespassin'---Faith, Hope and Charity-- which if you don't know it bears a similarity to The Ad Libs-- Nothing worse than Being Alone. This deserves some serious action. ATB Tony

How Many Times A Night?
This is pretty much what me and Ste aim to do at Heywood, play the lesser known, new purchases etc. early doors. Then get some better known stuff on to warm up the floor for the guests. Then really knacker it up when the guests have finished Tony

How Many Times A Night?
Now that I have your attention On more than one occassion just recently I have found myself at a do thinking, bugger me I only heard this 1/2 hour ago. Is it just me, but I feel a bit let down and short changed when I hear the same tunes spun 2 or more times in one night. Coz while they are playing that they could be playing one I don't know or haven't heard for years. Is it lack of imagination, records or just playing Ultra Safe or what. Pile In Feel Free Tony
